LC Staffing is hiring for an experienced, motivated individual to fill a Project Engineer/Estimator position. This position combines the skills of a business manager with the technical know-how of an engineer. You would solve problems in a creative, positive, and constructive ways and make recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures, and policies. You would be responsible for creating comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects and gauging completion timelines for project completion dates.

Salary: $60,000 to $100,000, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all projects stay on schedule and on budget, and meet deadlines – in conjunction with Construction Manager
- Supervising and supporting the Project/Construction Manager in keeping all project logs current
- Recognize, report, and develop detailed project construction schedule
- Provide delivery support and technical support for the field superintendents
- Assist in management of project permit process
- Create scopes of work for project buyout and survey potential sites for suitability and associated cost
- Verify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope and create estimates for all necessary insurance considerations
- Obtain multiple quotes and select the most appropriate subcontractors for a project
- Negotiate with material and equipment providers to secure better prices
- Perform risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred
- 3 Years experience in Construction Operations or Preconstruction as a Project Engineer or Estimator Required
- Project Engineer/ Estimator is required to have OSHA 10 Certification within 2 months of employment
- First Aid/CPR Certification required within 2 months of employment
- Experience in both Preconstruction and Operations preferred
- Experience in Xactimate
- Knowledge of Buildertrend, Smartsheet, On-Screen Takeoff
