An established and cutting-edge Missoula company that manufactures and markets high quality, innovative and sustainable resin coated products is hiring a Process Operator to work in the plant, specifically for the division that manufactures a product that combines fire science and smart materials. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Follow all EHS and plant requirements. Maintain a clean and safe working area. Maintain a commitment to preventing illness, injury and champion environmental protection
- Wear the prescribed PPE, including hard hat, steel-toed footwear, sealed eyewear and respirators
- Operation of manufacturing process control equipment and perform operations requirements such as truck loading and unloading
- Issue and monitor safe work, hot work and confined space permits
- Monitor and log operating conditions and maintain accurate material inventories
- Follow procedures to produce a compliant product
- Starting wage: $18/hour (Night shift: $18.50/hour)
- Schedule –
- Monday through Wednesday, 12-hour shifts
- Thursday, 4-hour shift
- Shift times: 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

- Vacation time starts at 3-weeks with 1-week added after 5 years and 1 week added after 10 years
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent. Two-year associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Experience in a general industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform/solve mathematical problems
- Physically capable of climbing ladders and lifting 55 pounds
- Forklift operation experience or ability to become forklift certified
- Troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use a computer effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications. SAP knowledge is a plus
- Ability to read, develop and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating SOPs, maintenance instructions, manuals and diagrams or schematics
- Two years chemical handling and process experience
- HAZMAT training a plus.
- Experience in SAP process
- Experience with pumps, valves, piping and simple mechanical systems
