A Montana operated credit union in the Gallatin Valley is hiring a HR Generalist in Helena, MT. This Montana organization has been in business for over 80 years and continues to be committed to creating a family orientated operation.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Represent the HR department in a professional manner with a positive attitude
- Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding including data entry in human resources information systems
- New-hire orientations and set up training schedules as needed and per hiring manager instruction
- Complete exit interviews
- Operate as primary backup to the HR Manager in the areas of payroll and benefit information; audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy for salary increases, benefit and payroll deductions, and other payroll adjustments
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary
- Respond to human resource related inquiries. Helps train management on human resource related topics

- Starting wage: $23 through $34/hour DOE
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications:
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Education: A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing
