Facilities & Maintenance Technician

LC Staffing is partnering with a leading provider of communication and response products to hire a Facilities & Maintenance Technician.  The Tech role will be especially fulfilling if you enjoy taking ownership of your work and keeping the facility clean and running efficiently.  We are looking for a hands-on Tech who has the willingness to roll up their sleeves and make sure the facility is not only maintained but projects a professional and welcoming environment for customers and fellow-employees.

Wage:  $17 hour, depending on experience
Schedule:  Monday through Friday, typically early morning shifts

What you will do:
  • Assist in the completion of day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities
  • Perform inspection of the buildings to detect existing or potential accident or health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and follow-up accordingly
  • Analyze and monitor facilities’ systems – mechanical, HVAC, lighting, security and other building systems for proper and safe operations, proper maintenance practices and potential cost savings
  • May repair electrical wiring, switches, outlets, light ballasts, light fixtures, and other electrical fixtures or install and repair valves, faucets, and pipes, clear clogged drains and performs other general plumbing maintenance and installation work
  • Perform masonry, painting and mechanical tasks
  • Work with the company’s Facilities Manager to ensure that the fire, sprinkler, and other emergency systems are inspected and in working order
  • Operate vacuum cleaners, strippers, buffers and use other cleaning products to clean vents, screens, windows, trash cans, glass doors, floors, and equipment
  • Clean and replenish restrooms and break rooms daily and empty out garbage waste and recycling receptacles
  • Replace various kinds of light bulbs, preform dusting, and fix basic appliances upon breaking
  • Clean walkways/parking lot, including snow and ice removal procedures in winter, as well as mowing grass and maintaining weeds in the warmer seasons
  • Move furniture and equipment in buildings when needed
  • Maintain security of the building including opening, closing, locking doors and windows

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to be dependable, arrive on time, and work entire shift
  • Good communication with Facilities Lead and Supervisor
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow instructions
