The Construction Crew Member is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and aerial telecommunications infrastructure. This role works as part of a field construction team to support the expansion and reliability of fiber and copper networks.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Fuel and maintain vehicles and work equipment
- Assist the crew leaders in construction and maintenance of outside plant facilities.
- Perform buried cable locations
- Perform station-grounding maintenance
- Splice buried cable facilities
- Operate vehicles and work equipment as assigned
- Complete expense reports and other data entry in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; at least 1 to 2 years of experience in construction of outside plant facilities
- CDL strongly preferred but not needed on date of hire
- The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Montana Commercial Driver’s (CDL) license, Type I, Class A, with airbrake endorsement., as well as have a good driving record and be insured under the Company insurance policy
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Highly effective with communication, both in writing and in speaking, with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Capable of reading cable records, staking sheets, specifications, and circuit diagrams
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
