Essential Functions and Duties:
- Lead all accounting operations, including oversight of internal processes and coordination with external vendors and partners
- Manage QuickBooks functions, including revenue and expense recording, journal entries, and credit card activity
- Oversee daily, monthly, and annual accounting cycles to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and timely tax filings
- Administer payroll and employee benefits, supporting onboarding, 401(k) activities, and annual insurance renewals
- Prepare financial projections, benchmarking data, and analysis to inform leadership decisions and support national ranking submissions
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls while contributing to strategic projects that support long-term growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel
- Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, payroll processes, and tax filing/payment requirements
- A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to an entrepreneurial, growth-focused team
