As a material handler, you would be counted on to pull and issue parts to prepare for the next day’s manufacturing needs. You would track and monitor inventory, coordinate material management, and perform inventory cycle counts.
Wage: $20/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Locate, audit, and transfer kits and materials as needed, including supporting satellite receiving and occasional vendor pick-up or drop-off using a company vehicle
- Perform regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and process any nonconforming materials
- Help prevent excess or obsolete inventory by moving stock as required and replenishing line-side bins in manufacturing areas
- Receive parts, update inventory systems (Oracle or similar), verify vendor deliveries, and maintain shortage reports and work orders
- Purge excess or obsolete materials and coordinate rework, transfer, or scrap actions
- Safely operate industrial equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, overhead cranes
- Follow all safety standards and documented procedures; assist in training other Material Coordinators
- Prepare materials for delivery to the cleanroom environment
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting, bending, climbing, working in tight spaces, etc.) and tolerate higher-noise environments
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and operating heavy machinery such as forklifts
- Able to solve routine problems and communicate effectively to exchange information
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
